Group Pilates classes offer a weekly opportunity for you to re-energise, challenge yourself and have fun. Our classes are ideal for those who like the social aspect of a class environment and who can commit to a scheduled time each week. Small equipment and apparatus add dimension to the classes and ensure a challenging but supportive whole body workout. Classes are organised by ability level, from beginner through to advanced and they last for 70 minutes, unless otherwise stated.

MAT CLASSES FOR EVERY LEVEL

JOIN THE CLASS THAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU

We encourage all clients to learn the basics of Pilates in a safe and effective manner, before progressing on to our more advanced classes. Depending on your current abilities and past Pilates experience however, the intermediate or advanced class may be more suitable from an earlier stage.

ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS COURSES

Our specialist Pilates Beginners Courses are the ideal way to introduce your body to the benefits of Pilates in a safe and very effective way. These 4-week courses run throughout the year and are a unique addition to our weekly timetabled classes. They will teach you the key principles of the Pilates method so you can progress into one of our regular classes. Find out more about our Absolute Beginners Courses here.

 

BEGINNERS PLUS CLASSES

This is the natural progression for anyone who has completed the Absolute Beginner Course. At this stage you will have established sound core stability and will have an understanding of the fundamentals of Pilates. You will be ready to begin work on improving that stability with a more challenging set of exercises. Level 2 and 3 movements are now introduced.

 

INTERMEDIATE MAT CLASSES

This is the ideal class to join for those without injuries, who have a good level of experience and fitness. It is the perfect next step for those beginners who are ready move on to a higher level of strength, control and balance. Intermediate classes begin to incorporate some classical Pilates moves to increase stamina and strength.

 

ADVANCED MAT CLASSES

The ultimate Pilates class for whole body strengthening, lengthening and toning. This group is limited to the most experienced clients who have reached the peak of their Pilates training. Advanced classes are tough. They focus on classical Pilates moves, along with mobilization and stability work. You need to be injury free for this class.

 

GENTLE AND RESTORATIVE CLASSES

This is a specialist class designed to benefit those who need a slower paced class and a supportive environment or those seeking injury rehabilitation. Pilates inspired movements that focus on weight bearing, resistance and also balance work are included to restore optimum function to each and every body.

HIP PILATES CLASSES

Our High Intensity Power Pilates classes offer a unique and energetic twist on our regular Pilates classes. HIP Pilates is designed to give you a fantastic cardiovascular workout that combines the strong technique & principles learnt from the Pilates matwork, with primal movement patterns designed to improve fitness, blast calories, enhance flexibility and strengthen your entire body. This class uses minimal equipment- a set of hand weights each combined with body weight exercises to keep your heart rate raised and achieve total body strength & conditioning.
